The Peek family faced what no family should ever have to face in their lives ? they lost their daughter Sarah to a disease called pulmonary hypertension. While Sarah was sick, her family was too busy taking care of her to worry about their home, and over time the home became in desperate need of repair.
Today, a new chapter is beginning for the Peek family thanks to GAF, North America?s largest roofing manufacturer, and Ply Gem, the leading manufacturer of exterior building products in North America.
Alisyn Camerota is reporting live from Camillus, New York to unveil the new home that was built for the Peek family. Dave Peek, Sarah?s father, shared reaction, saying, ?I cannot believe how nice it looks. We could not have expected this would be done in three weeks. It?s unbelievable.?

Michelle Peek, Sarah?s mother, said, ?It?s absolutely beautiful and welcoming,? and she explained how they heard about the contest. She said, ?My mother actually called me up and told me that she saw this on Fox and Friends and that there was an illness category. I just got so excited because we really wanted to get some national attention for this disease that took our daughter?s life about two years ago.?
David said, ?We know that there are families out there just like us. They have their hands full right now trying to manage this disease and try [to get through it]. For us now to be able to take the energy that Sarah gave us and bring it forward and help them out, help get some attention and raise some funds for them because it?s a tough disease to manage.?
