NASA: Space station may be evacuated by late Nov. (AP)

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. ? Astronauts may need to temporarily abandon the International Space Station this fall if last week's Russian launch accident prevents new crews from flying, a NASA official said Monday.

If Russia's essential Soyuz rockets remain grounded beyond mid-November, there will be no way to launch any more astronauts before the current residents are supposed to leave, said NASA's space station program manager, Mike Suffredini.

A space station supply ship was destroyed last week following liftoff from Kazakhstan. The failed upper stage of the Soyuz rocket is similar to what's used to launch astronauts.

The launch of the very next crew already has been delayed. It had been scheduled for Sept. 22.

To keep the orbiting outpost with a full staff of six for as long as possible, three of the current residents will remain in orbit for at least an extra week. They were supposed to return to Earth on Sept. 8.

Suffredini said flight controllers could keep a deserted space station operating indefinitely, as long as all major systems are working properly.

But that's always the last resort: The risk to the space station goes up if no one's on board to fix potential equipment breakdowns.

"We have plenty of options," Suffredini said. "We'll focus on crew safety as we always do."

Astronauts have been living continuously aboard the space station ever since the first crew was launched in 2000.

NASA considered vacating the space station following the space shuttle Columbia disaster in 2003. Back then, shuttles were still being used to ferry some station residents back and forth. Instead, the station got by with two-man crews for a few years because of the significant cutback in supplies.

Even if the space shuttles still were flying ? the program ended last month ? space station crews still would need Soyuz-launched capsules to serve as lifeboats, Suffredini said. The capsules are certified for no more than 6 1/2 months in space, thus the need to regularly rotate crews.

As for supplies, the space station is well stocked and could go until next summer, Suffredini said. Space shuttle Atlantis dropped off a year's supply of goods just last month.

For now, operations are normal aboard the 240-mile-high complex, he noted, and the additional week on board for half the crew will mean additional science research.

The Russians have set up an investigation team and until it comes up with a cause for the accident and a repair plan, the launch and landing schedules remain in question. None of the spacecraft debris has been recovered yet; the wreckage fell into a remote, wooded section of Siberia.

Suffredini said he hasn't had time to consider the PR impact of abandoning the space station, especially coming so soon after the end of the 30-year shuttle program.

"Flying safely is much, much more important than anything else I can think about right this instant," he said. "I'm sure we'll have an opportunity to discuss any political implications if we spend a lot of time on the ground. But you know, we'll just have to deal with them because we're going to do what's safest for the crew and for the space station."

Factors Affecting Underwriting Umbrella or Excess Insurance ...

Factors Affecting Underwriting Umbrella or Excess Insurance

Article by Ed Sneineh

A commercial Umbrella insurance policy is a contract that provides coverages for liability losses above and beyond limits paid by certain underlining liability policies provided by the business. The policy goes in effect when the other underlining liability policies stop. The named insured in the Umbrella policy is responsible for keeping in force certain reported underlining policies. Any adjustments in the status, terms, and conditions of the underlining policies must be revealed to the insurer providing the Umbrella insurance.

Limits of Umbrella Coverage: The Umbrella coverage is normally offered at limits of , , , , and millions. Many companies may not provide over millions. Having said that, a number of insurers may offer higher underlining limit totals.

Excess Vs Umbrella Liability Insurance: Despite the fact that it is used interchangeably, insurance specialists believe that there is a big difference between Excess liability policies and Umbrella policies. In most cases policies labeled ?Excess Liability Insurance? provide only extension of the same coverages provided by the underlining policies, while Umbrella policies will fill some holes by offering coverages for losses that are not covered by the underlining policies.

SIR: Self Insured Retention, is the amount which the insured person has to pay before the Umbrella policy kicks in for certain losses that are not covered under any underlining policy. For example, if your SIR is ,000 then your Umbrella policy will pay for certain liability losses that are not covered under the underlining policies, above and beyond that amount. SIR can be removed by policy amendment but at excess costs.

Umbrella Underlining Insurance Policies. The following is a list of the underlining policies for Umbrella insurance policies.

* Commercial General Liability. The types, forms, and limits of coverage are crucial factors that differentiate one policy from another.

* Commercial Auto Liability Types and Limits. Besides the limits of coverage, special attention is to be paid to the characteristics of drivers, their ages and driving record history. Also, truck make and models and radius of operations, FHWA filing requirements can become very important in determining the rates.

* Commercially Owned Watercraft. The forms and limits of the watercraft policy along with people involved in using the watercraft.

* Workers Compensation &and Employers Liability. Limits of liability and state exposure are critical factors that will affect the rate of Umbrella policy.

* Professional Liability Forms, Types and Limits

* Liquor Liability Limits

Issues Influencing Rates and Underwriting of Umbrella Insurance

Description of Operations: Umbrella or Excess insurance rates vary based on several factors, first of which is description of operations. No two Umbrella contracts have the same rate, due to the fact that different businesses have different risk exposures. Other issues lead to increased risk, hence premiums, of the Umbrella insurance. These factors include exposures to habitation, exposure to swimming pools, athletic and sport facilities, as well as exposure to use of alcohol and live entertainment.

If there is habitation exposure, a complete description of that exposure becomes important such as the number of units; construction type, age and number of stories of the building; nature and rates of occupancy, etc.

In situations where liquor is consumed, insurance companies normally worry about the size of operation, live entertainment available, safety and security offered. Offering and sponsoring sport activities such as swimming or gymnastics may mandate that the business furnishes to the insurance companies facts about the nature of facilities/ activities, security measures, and other risk management measures.

Finding an Umbrella policy can be an easy task. Contacting an independent insurance agent is a good start. Independent insurance agents have access to many insurers and can provide more quality quotes at reasonable prices.

HBT: Should Bautista be MVP candidate?

We?re destined to have a good postseason award fight every year. Last year was the great pitchers? wins debate, in which people argued about whether or not Felix Hernandez should win the Cy Young despite not having a lot of them. ?This year it?s going to be the ?MVPs can only come from winning teams? debate, with Jose Bautista as the bone of contention.

Today?s Jon Heyman?s column?crystallizes?the issue for us. A column in which he says that Jose Bautista would be his fifth-place MVP candidate. The reasoning is familiar and not unique to Heyman:

Stats are most assuredly a major part of the equation. But they shouldn?t be completely determinative. Otherwise, let?s just run the numbers through a computer. And rename the award Most Outstanding player. Because there?s no way to put a number on the value of leading a team into the postseason, which should be everyone?s goal.

Like people, stats are imperfect. Even WAR, which I agree is a very useful stat, is imperfect because it depends on the value placed on other statistics by the person who devises the formula. The ultimate goal of any player is to win, so the value of the individual accomplishments that lead to a pennant should be viewed in that context.

So while Bautista has been the most outstanding player in the league whether you use WAR or OPS or or any other key stat, it?s a tough case to make for him as MVP in a year when so many stars are ushering their team into the playoffs.

I guess what I don?t understand here is if ?leading a team into the postseason? is the criteria, how can Heyman include four Red Sox in his top ten? ?Jacoby Ellsbury, Adrian Gonzalez, Dustin Pedroia and David Ortiz all being so awesome, how can it be said that anyone ?led? that group? ?It was a total team effort ? of a stacked team ? which got the Red Sox where they are. None of those guys has either (a) played as well as Bautista; or (b) done anything superhuman or singular. It?s a wolfpack of excellent players, none of whom are as good as Bautista, and none of whom ? if surrounded by Bautista?s supporting cast ? would be playing on a playoff team this year either.

I know the arguments that will come. I am well-aware of the how people engage in the precise parsing of the term ?valuable? and put forth the idea that it?s not called the ?most outstanding player award.? ?But it seems to me that in order to get to the place where one can start hashing out the definition of ?valuable? one has to totally ignore the fact that baseball is a team sport.?And I don?t understand what good an award is if it?s premised on completely and utterly divorcing it from the essence of the game itself.

And of course there?s a final irony here. It?s usually the guys who are the biggest proponents of ?team chemistry? ? the guys who believe that you can?t win jack without 25 guys working together ? who tend to argue that one guy can single-handedly lead a team into the playoffs. ?Does that make any sense to you? ?It doesn?t to me.

PGT: Garrido, Foster share lead at Johnnie Walker

First it was wasps and bees this week at the Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles. Then in Saturday?s third round, it was the rain.

A stereotypical Scottish storm rolled through the site of the 2014 Ryder Cup, making for soggy and difficult playing conditions. Mark Foster and second-round leader Ignacio Garrido, though, were able to manage rounds good enough to share the lead at 11-under par through 54 holes.

After making six birdies on the back nine of his first round, the Englishman Foster made just two on the second side of the third round after having made none on Friday. Those two birdies, though, came at the 16th and par-5 18th to secure a tie with the Spaniard.

Garrido was unable to take advantage of the final hole to pull clear of Foster, but two dropped shots on the back nine kept him from pulling away by a few shots. The Spaniard showed a few signs why he has struggled all season, with just one top-10 finish on the year. Nevertheless, he is happy to be in this position again.

?I feel good. I think it?s great to be back in this position. When you are, you never know when the next one is going to be, so it?s nice to have another go at a title, as you say,? Garrido said after shooting 3-under 69 on Saturday.

Foster would have preferred to be in control alone, but he will take it.

?I just kept the ball in play and just kept hitting great shots into the par fives, getting on the greens in two, making eagle chances,? he said of his round of 68.

The duo is three shots clear of five players, including Thomas Bjorn, Bernd Wiesberger, Munich winner Pablo Larrazabal, Peter Lawrie and American Anthony Kang. Yes, Kang is one of very few Americans to regularly tee it up in Europe and he is in contention for his second Euro Tour win.

Irene's first rains reach threatened US East Coast (AP)

NAGS HEAD, N.C. ? Hurricane Irene's rains began reaching the U.S. East Coast on Friday ahead of a weekend of punishing weather from the Carolinas to as far north as Massachusetts, with at least 65 million people in the storm's path.

Rain began falling along the coasts of North and South Carolina as Irene trudged toward the U.S. from the Bahamas. Thousands already were without power Friday morning as the storm's outer bands began raking South Carolina.

Swells from the hurricane and 6- to 9-foot waves were showing up in North Carolina's Outer Banks early Friday, and winds were expected to begin picking up later in the day, said Hal Austin, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service.

Meanwhile, the hurricane warning area was expanded and now covered a large chunk of the East Coast from North Carolina to Sandy Hook, N.J., which is south of New York City. A hurricane watch extended even farther north and included Long Island, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket, Mass.

For hundreds of miles, millions of people along the densely populated East Coast warily waited Friday for a dangerous hurricane that has the potential to inflict billions of dollars in damage anywhere within that urban sprawl that arcs from Washington and Baltimore through Philadelphia, New York, Boston and beyond.

Irene also could push crude oil prices higher if it disrupts refineries in Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Virginia, which produce nearly 8 percent of U.S. gasoline and diesel fuel.

Irene weakened slightly Friday, dropping down to a Category 2 storm with maximum sustained winds near 110 mph (175 kph). But some re-strengthening was possible as Irene moved over energizing Atlantic waters, and the storm was expected to be near the threshold between a Category 2 and 3 storm as it reached North Carolina's coast early Saturday morning, the National Hurricane Center said.

In North Carolina, traffic was steady Friday as people left the Outer Banks. Tourists were ordered to leave the barrier islands Thursday, and many residents were following as ordered Friday.

At a gas station in Nags Head, Pete Reynolds said he wanted to make sure he had enough fuel for the long trip. The retired 68-year-old teacher spent part of Thursday getting his house ready for the hurricane. Now, he and his wife, Susan, were heading to New Jersey area to stay with their son's family.

"We felt like we would be OK and we could ride out the storm," said Reynolds, who lives in Nags Head. "But when they announced mandatory evacuations, I knew it was serious."

Speaking Friday on CBS' "The Early Show," North Carolina Gov. Beverly Perdue said the state has Highway Patrol Troopers, the Red Cross and National Guardsmen in place to deal with the storm's aftermath. But she warned coastal residents not to risk waiting out the storm and hoping for help after it passed.

"You can't count on that. Folks need to decide that they need to get out now," she said.

North Carolina was just first in line along the Eastern Seaboard ? home to some of the nation's most heavily populated areas and priciest real estate. Besides major cities, sprawling suburban bedroom communities, ports, airports, highway networks, cropland and beachfront neighborhoods are in harm's way.

"One of my greatest nightmares was having a major hurricane go up the whole Northeast coast," Max Mayfield, the National Hurricane Center's retired director, told The Associated Press on Thursday as the storm lurched toward the U.S. "This is going to be a real challenge. ... There's going to be millions of people affected."

The hurricane would be the strongest to strike the East Coast in seven years, and people were already getting out of the way.

The center of the storm was still about 375 miles (600 kilometers) south-southwest of Cape Hatteras, N.C., and moving north at 14 mph (22 kph).

Hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers were told Thursday to pack a bag and be prepared to move elsewhere. The nation's biggest city hasn't seen a hurricane in decades.

Farther south, tens of thousands packed up and left North Carolina beach towns and farmers pulled up their crops.

North Carolina farmer Wilson Daughtry has lost count of how many times his crops have been wiped out by storms that regularly blow up from the tropics.

"That's the price of living in paradise," he said of a fertile farm belt that's weathered an unusually hot and dry summer. Any deluge from Irene's rain bands could wipe out many crops just when they are ready for harvesting.

The most recent figures show coastal North Carolina's fields earned nearly $6.3 billion in farm income in 2009 alone from its tobacco, corn and other crops.

Risks are many from Irene's wrath: surging seas, drenching rains, flash floods and high winds are all possibilities the Federal Emergency Management Agency director wasn't counting out.

"We're going to have damages, we just don't know how bad," Craig Fugate told the AP as FEMA readied plans in many states. "This is one of the largest populations that will be impacted by one storm at one time."

The latest forecasts had Irene crashing up the North Carolina coastline Saturday, then churning up the East while drenching areas from Virginia to New York City before a much-weakened storm reaches New England.

Even if the winds aren't strong enough to damage buildings in a metropolis made largely of brick, concrete and steel, a lot of New York's subway system and other infrastructure is underground and subject to flooding in the event of an unusually strong storm surge or heavy rains, authorities said.

New York City's two airports also are close to the water and could be inundated, as could densely packed neighborhoods, if the storm pushes ocean water into the city's waterways, officials said. The city had a brush with a tropical storm, Hanna, in 2008 that dumped 3 inches of rain in Manhattan.

All told, Irene could cause billions of dollars in damage or more along the Eastern Seaboard in a worst-case scenario, said Kathleen Tierney, director of the Natural Hazards Center at the University of Colorado.

In the last 200 years, New York has seen only a few significant hurricanes. In September of 1821, a hurricane raised tides by 13 feet in an hour and flooded all of Manhattan south of Canal Street, the southernmost tip of the city. The area now includes Wall Street and the World Trade Center memorial.

New England is also unaccustomed to direct hits from hurricanes. Lobsterman Greg Griffin, who fishes from Portland, Maine, still recalls getting clobbered by Hurricane Gloria in 1985 and said this one is not to be ignored after years without a large, dangerous storm.

"We have a young generation of lobstermen who've never experienced a full-blown hurricane," Griffin said.

The first U.S. injuries from Irene appeared to be in South Florida near West Palm Beach, where eight people were washed off a jetty Thursday by a large wave churned up by the storm.

In Washington, Irene dashed hopes of dedicating a 30-foot sculpture to the late Martin Luther King Jr. on the National Mall on Sunday with the help of President Barack Obama. While a direct strike on the nation's capital appeared slim, organizers said the forecasts of wind and heavy rain made it too dangerous to summon a throng they initially expected to number up to 250,000.

Heavy rain and possible floods were big worries in the Northeast. The potential for flooding and wind damage are Irene's greatest threats to Rhode Island, still smarting from the 2010 spring floods that devastated parts of the Ocean State.

In Connecticut, Gov. Daniel P. Malloy declared a state of emergency and warned there could be prolonged power outages if Irene dumps up to a foot of rain on already saturated ground as some fear. He said emergency responders must be ready to evacuate heavily developed areas.

"We are a much more urban state than we were in 1938," he said, referring to the year that the so-called "Long Island Express" hurricane killed 600 people and caused major damage with 17-foot storm surges and high winds.

The urban population explosion in recent decades also worries New Jersey officials. Gov. Chris Christie encouraged anyone on that state's built-up shoreline to prepare to leave. One of the popular casinos in Atlantic City had already closed Friday, and several others planned to shut down later in the day.

The beach community of Ocean City, Md., was taking no chances, ordering thousands to leave.

"This is not a time to get out the camera and sit on the beach and take pictures of the waves," said Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley.

Pat Summitt made it clear. She won't accept a "pity party."

The winningest coach in women's basketball just wants to focus on getting Tennessee back on top.

Summitt surprised the sports world with her announcement Tuesday that she had been diagnosed with early onset dementia ? the Alzheimer's type. The Hall of Fame coach appeared stoic during a minute-long video posted on the school's website.

"I plan to continue to be your coach," the 59-year-old said in the video. "Obviously, I realize I may have some limitations with this condition since there will be some good days and some bad days."

There is no cure for the disease and even Summitt's icy glare that has struck fear in many an opponent, official or Lady Vols player, won't be able to stop its advances.

Still she said she won't have her time at Tennessee turn into a "pity party."

Summitt isn't sure how much longer she will coach only saying that she would do it "as long as the good Lord is willing".

Before Tuesday's news, Summitt was trying to figure out a way to end a three-year drought of missing the Final Four ? one of the longest in her 37-year tenure at the school. She does have one of the top recruiting classes coming in this year as freshmen.

She met with her team Tuesday to discuss her diagnosis. Junior guard Taber Spani said the meeting was businesslike, with Summitt telling the Lady Vols nothing would get in the way for their quest of a ninth national title this season.

"It's shocking, just because you don't expect that to happen to someone you look up to," Spani said. "I admire her, and just seeing her just gave me more confidence in her as a coach. We're going to rally."

Summitt will rely more on her assistants ? Holly Warlick, Dean Lockwood and Mickie DeMoss ? but they aren't sure exactly how things may change.

"We're here to help Pat as far as coaching and will help this program continue its tradition. And I'm here for Pat as a friend," Warlick said. "I know she's going to be here coaching, but she is quick to say this is Tennessee basketball. We're going to carry on the tradition no matter what."

Warlick said Summitt also wanted to crush any speculation about her health after the announcement.

"We got on the phone immediately and called kids and commitments and had nothing but a huge amount of support," Warlick said. "I think it's one thing to see it on the (TV news) ticker. It's another thing to hear from Pat Summitt that we're here, we're going to be here and nothing is going to change about Tennessee basketball."

Summitt's family and closest confidants have known about her condition since she first learned of it, but the Hall of Fame coach first revealed the news publicly to the Washington Post and Knoxville News Sentinel.

She also told her former players early Tuesday morning.

"As a player, we know coach is the type who's not going to give up. She's going to fight, she's going to do everything she can," said Michelle Snow, who played for Tennessee from 1998-2002. "She's probably going to be the best patient they ever had. She's a fighter and she's been through a lot. She knows how to fight and she's going to continue to do that."

As the stunning news swept across the women's basketball world Tuesday, the reaction was simple: she'll meet the disease head on.

Indiana Fever coach Lin Dunn first met Summitt 40 years ago at Tennessee-Martin. The two used to play softball in the summer together and were sorority sisters. She was floored this morning when she got the phone call with the news.

"My first reaction was tremendous respect, how she was publicly acknowledging this disease. I know how tough minded she is, tremendous perseverance," Dunn said by phone. "She will bring national attention to this disease and she can spearhead a move to try and fight it."

That sentiment was echoed by former Lady Vols star Candace Parker.

"I don't think she is going to let it affect her," the Los Angeles Sparks star said. "I think she is going to continue on coaching as long as she can. She came out with (the news) and now we're going to move forward."

Summitt's biggest rival, Connecticut coach Geno Auriemma was shocked and saddened by the news.

"You don't necessarily associate dementia with people our age, so this announcement really put things in perspective," he said.

Summitt has won eight national titles at Tennessee and is 29 victories short of 1,100 ? that would give her 200 more than former Texas coach Jody Conradt, who is No. 2 on the list.

"It always seemed she had no vulnerability," Conradt said. "She's the solid rock everyone looked up to. ... I'm very happy she's not going to walk off the court at this point. When you have made it your life, there needs to be transition."

Summitt has been bothered for a while by rheumatoid arthritis. Tennessee athletics director Joan Cronan said that the coach initially chalked up her memory problems to side effects from medicine she was taking to treat it.

The coach first consulted local doctors, who recommended she undergo a more extensive evaluation. In May, she traveled to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., where doctors performed a spinal tap and other tests that eventually produced the diagnosis.

Summitt's first reaction was anger, but that soon gave way to determination.

"She's ready to fight this and move on," Cronan said. "She had to come to grips with how she wanted to face it."

Talking about it was a big step and her son Tyler was instrumental in making that happen.

"Tyler has been so courageous in this," Summitt's longtime associate head coach Holly Warlick said. "He encouraged her to come forward."

Tyler has been supporting his mother throughout this process; he went to the Mayo Clinic with her in May. And though he has been a great sounding board, the 20-year-old said his mom's revelation is a life lesson for everyone.

"It seems like she teaches me something new everyday, and she is currently giving me one of the best life lessons of all: to have the courage to be open, honest, and face the truth," he said. "This will be a new chapter for my mom and I, and we will continue to work as a team like we always have done."

DeMarini Softball Bat: Technology at Its Finest

Article by Leo Nelson

The DeMarini softball bat has been around since 1989 and it is known in the industry as the bat with the biggest sweet spot. Producing high tech bats for softball has always been the company?s objective. They have a dedicated group that continually does research on the best technologies and designs that can be incorporated in their bats. Hence, the superiority of their bats is apparent from the first time you put your hand on them.

There is a particular technology that is used in the manufacturing of the Demarini softball bat. It has a double walled construction that allows each wall to contribute individually to the springlike action of the bat surface. The pressure that results from the hit is not limited to the walls but goes through the entire length of the bat barrel. This helps a lot when you hit the softball with the bat.

Aluminum is the material used to give Demarini softball bats their distinct look and feel. Strong heat is then applied which makes the metal more resilient. The right thickness of metal allows the bat to pass energy to the softball and give it greater momentum. Thus, using bats made by Demarini would allow you to swing better and make the ball go further when you make a hit.

Because of the company?s dedication to craftsmanship and excellence, the best softball bats you can find in the market always have the Demarini name on them. They have been designed with the player in mind. Thus, each Demarini softball bat can be expected to have superior feel, distance and durability.

At present, the company continues to search the entire planet to find the best materials and technologies they could use to produce the ultimate bat. The company also strives to implement better parts and designs, so that softball players will do better out in the field.

Franchise Opportunities in USA ? Finding the Right Place to Invest ...

There are lots of franchising opportunities available in multiple states of the U.S. but the decision to buy one always comes down to one thing; what will actually work. There are lots of different companies that offer franchise opportunities in Canada and USA, some that are huge and have made a name for their brand internationally and others that are small and are likely to just use franchising as a means of spreading out instead of growing. Some companies although huge with thousands of stores in multiple countries have already reached their full potential and are often just pushing for the next store to open. It?s important that you identify which company is actually offering you a marketable idea before you invest your money.

The bigger and more wide spread a company is and the lower the start-up costs for a franchise are, the more are the chances of it being risky. At one point, brands become saturated and some markets can no longer accommodate more stores and outlets. Investing in these business franchise opportunities opening yet another where there are already a million coffee shops or fast food restaurants can mean you?re going to be in for a tough struggle once you open for business.

The companies that have a unique product, possibly with few alternatives available are some of the best franchise opportunities to invest in. A unique idea that hasn?t been tapped for its full potential is one of the easiest to market and earn profits from. A great example of one such franchise is fruit bouquets and fresh fruit. this franchise business has a great concept and they are one of the most unique products out there with almost no replicas.

What to Look For When Choosing a Web Host for Retail Shop Business ...

How to Choose Hosting for Retail Shop Business

Whether you are a restaurateur, a neighborhood retail store, or just a hobbyist who sells bird carvings out of your home, you need a website that will help you market and sell your wares. A good partner to have with your website is your hosting company.

But what do you need in a web host? With thousands of hosting companies doing business in the industry it can be difficult to really determine what is important. That is why we bring you the following things to look for in your website hosting company.

eCommerce Features

If you plan to sell anything online you will need your host to help you conduct online business. Most web hosts worth their salt will offer eCommerce solutions as part of their hosting, or at least as part of a business ?class hosting plan. eCommerce solutions usually includes basic shopping cart software to list your products online (any more than 10-20 products usually requires a paid-up version of the software), Paypal integration, SSL security certificates, and possibly merchant account help and support.

Website Builder

Retail business owners don?t want to spend their time trying to figure out web programming or developer languages. They want to focus on improving sales, as well as saving money on a website. A good web host will provide at least a free basic website builder with a wide range of professional-looking templates available. If you do have the budget for web developing, look for a host who also offers professional web design as well.

Easy account Control

Again, trying to manage a website account can be as easy as trying to interpret hieroglyphics. Look for a web host who will make website account management easy. The best hosts will provide top-rated account management software like cPanel, or Plesk. These make it easy for the user to customize their ?dashboard? through a simple online connection. All account management tasks such as creating email accounts, uploading website files, creating a help ticket, and even installing helpful plugins like photo galleries or bulletin boards with a few clicks.

Available Technical Support

If things go wrong you don?t want to wait until the next business day to get your website back online. Your web host should be available 24 hours a day, and if not by phone at least via email and/or online chat. Check with your potential host to see if they offer helpful articles, FAQ?s, guides, and tutorials online as well.

Uptime Guarantee

If your website is not online because of a hosting data center issue, you could be losing money. Check with your web host to get assurances of uptime. The industry standard is a 99.9% uptime guarantee. But that isn?t enough. An empty ?promise? is worthless. And so is a guarantee that only compensates you for actual lost time, translating into mere pennies. Be sure that if your host does not meet their 99% uptime guarantee that they will refund you a full month?s hosting charge at the very least.

(AP Photo/Brigham and Women?s Hospital, Lightchaser Photography)

(AP) ? The new face of a woman who was mauled by a chimpanzee two years ago was revealed for the first time Thursday in photos showing a startling transformation.

The pictures of Charla Nash were first shown on NBC's "Today" show and in Hearst Connecticut Newspapers on Thursday morning. They were later released by Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, where she had face transplant surgery in May.

Nash, 57, didn't appear on "Today" because relatives said she was too weak to do an interview. In a statement released by the hospital, Nash thanked all the doctors, nurses and other medical experts who helped her over the past two years.

"I will now be able to do things I once took for granted," Nash said in the statement. "I will be able to smell. I will be able to eat normally. I will no longer be disfigured. I will have lips and will speak clearly once again. I will be able to kiss and hug loved ones. I am tremendously grateful to the donor and her family."

The show aired footage of Nash in a hospital bed, nodding to visitors, her face smooth and features appearing nearly normal.

"Today" also reported that Nash was able to eat eggs with cream cheese after the transplant ? the first solid food she's had since the attack.

Nash, who's now living in a Boston-area nursing home, was attacked in February 2009 by a neighbor's 200-pound (90-kilogram) pet chimpanzee, which went berserk after its owner asked Nash to help lure it back into her house in Stamford, Connecticut. The animal, named Travis, ripped off Nash's nose, lips, eyelids and hands before being shot to death by police.

Nash was left with no eyes and only a small opening where her mouth once was. She could only eat pureed food, and she was barely understandable when she talked.

In late May, she underwent a full face and double hand transplant in Boston. She received skin, underlying muscles, blood vessels, nerves, a hard palate and teeth from a dead person who hasn't been named. It was the third full face transplant in the U.S.

But doctors later had to remove the hands because of complications that developed when Nash caught pneumonia. Nash said she's hoping to attempt another double hand transplant one day.

Asked by "Today" what she would say to the donor's family, Nash's daughter, Brianna, said she'd tell them how grateful she is.

"What they've done for us is just so amazing," she said. "This has really given my mom the hope to move forward, a chance at a life again."

Nash's family is suing the estate of the chimpanzee's owner, Sandra Herold, for $50 million and wants to sue the state for $150 million, claiming officials failed to prevent the attack. Herold died last year of an aneurysm.

Nash's brother, Steve Nash, told The Associated Press that his sister has maintained a positive outlook since the mauling, and the family hopes she can get the double hand transplant in about six months. She also has only a top row of teeth and doctors are planning to install a lower row soon, he said.

"It's brought my sister to a better quality of life. It makes you feel good, and we're very thankful," Steve Nash said about the face transplant. "She's preparing the best she can to be a blind person."
