It's not desirable to use mirror tiles, which break up the reflection (and personal Qi energy). Mirrors should fit snugly to the wall, and be smooth. The use of magnifying mirrors, in terms of Feng Shui, is undesirable.

The symbol of the Water element that controls this room is a square. If your bathroom is square, it will be easier for your body to part with the accumulated negative energy. The sewer pipe must be closed from the outside (brick or tile), so that bad energy does not penetrate back into the home. Good air circulation (and thus the circulation of Qi) plays an important role, so it makes sense to install a vent. Keep the toilet lid and the door closed.

Water is associated with wealth and the flow of Qi. Regardless of this room?s location, some of the adjoining zone?s qualities will be washed off with water. It's not too good to have a bathroom right in front of the entrance door, as a lot of energy immediately goes into the sewer. If you are building a house, locate this room at the outer wall of the home. It's good to have a small window in this room.

Water symbolizes wealth, so the bathroom located in the wealth zone (Bagua) can mean losing money. If your money is going through your fingers like sand, the fault might lie with a bathroom. In this case, use bright and pleasant lighting, mirrors, nature images, aromatic oils, and bowls with flowers. Add a soft mat, bright synthetic sponge or washcloth, or a fluffy towel. Taking a bath, add a few drops of aromatic oil to the water for pleasant sensations.

You can liven up your bathroom with plants. They will also dry the dampness. The plants will not allow the Qi energy to stagnate in the corners. You can draw plenty of Qi in by hanging pictures with high mountains and/or gentle curving rivers.
